Saving and Printing Graphs

The next logical task to try would be to save and then print the two-curve graph just created in the preceding section.

Saving a Graph

To save the graph, it is just like saving any other file in Windows:

1. Select File/Save. This opens a dialog box as shown:

2. Use the default, graph1, or type another valid file name in the File Name text box. The default extension for saving graphs is .SPF (Standard Parameter File).

3. Verify that the desired drive and directory are selected from their respective boxes to receive your file. (Like other PlotIT operations, these follow standard Windows practices.)

4. Click OK or press Enter. Your file will be saved.

Printing a Graph

Printing a graph currently displayed is also similar to printing any other file within Windows:

1. Select File/Print. A dialog box appears.

2. Click OK or press Enter.

3. At this point, a Reducing image size dialog box may appear if the graph is too large for your printer's paper. If so, click OK to let PlotIT scale the graph down to the appropriate size. The graph will print.
