Your IP address is captured when you post. If rules violations occur repeatedly, that IP address will be blocked from accessing the board in the future.

This is a private board that welcomes any and all intelligent, thoughtful, and reasonable ideas and opinions on Penn State Football Recruiting, and Penn State in general.

If a person finds that their post has been deleted, it has been judged to be in violation of the rules posted here. If the person that posted the message wishes to protest the deletion of the message in question, that person must send an email to Tom McAndrew in order to determine justification.

We do not discuss your "questioning" the deletion of your post(s) via the forum.

Nettiquette

• It helps to use your email address in your post. Although not required, it gives a certain amount of credibility.
• When you've posted, don't click reload to see your post or you may end up posting twice.
• If you're joking, try to indicate that with a smiley, or a LOL. (see acronym explanation below). It's hard to tell from printed words if one is joking. :)
• We recommend that you watch the board for a day or so before posting to get 'the lay of the land'.

Acronym explanation

Several acronyms are used across the net to reduce typing strokes. Some of the more popular ones here are:

• LOL - Laugh Out Loud
• IMHO - In My Humble Opinion, IMO=In My Opinion
• FWIW - For What It's Worth
• TIA - Thanks In Advance
• tOSU - THE Ohio State University (They like to be called THE OSU). ;)

• :( = Sad face
• ,`( = Mad face

Finally, a definition of flaming. Flaming is posting something with the expectation of stirring the ire of the board participants. For instance, posting 'Pitt sucks' has no merit at all but to entice Pitt fans to respond with equal venom. Be aware that posts like 'Penn State is overrated' may also be perceived as flaming, even though a case may be made for the truthfulness of the statement. If you post something you feel is a not a flame and have it removed, please realize that other posters may have caused the entire thread to be deleted.

Use your own good judgement. Don't say anything you wouldn't say to your mother, or to another Penn Stater you run into in an airport.

Educational Accounts Advisory:

We recommend those using "educational accounts" to read the "acceptable use policy" provided by your institution. In addition, those using accounts provided by an educational institution, may be subject to disciplinary actions as stipulated in their acceptable use policy for violating those terms.

Ladies and Gentlemen; this is a "Private forum" which is available for all people to enjoy. You will not find a better forum anywhere on the network. A few people will not ruin it for all others who are here to enjoy and exchange ideas and thoughts. We care not for people; no matter what their affiliation, that gets their jollies by posting inane, hostile, or provocative trash.
