1996 Recruiting Class
New Player Bios and Highlight Action Videos
Four people were identified as coming to PSU as preferred walk-ons. They are:
- Rick Bolinsky (DL, 6' 4", 285 lbs., Ashland, PA)
- Travis Forney (PK, 5' 8", 150 lbs., Lock Haven, PA)
- Darren Smith (LB, 6' 1", 215 lbs., Easton, PA)
- Jeremy Sauve (WR, DB, PK, 6' 0", 165 lbs., Mechanicsburg, PA)
A preferred walk-on is a player who is recruited to walk on. They are
included in the 105 man roster. They participate in the pre-season drills,
and get a playbook just like a regular recruit. Lastly, if a scholarship
becomes available, due to a person graduating or leaving school, they are
likely to get the scholarship.
